Thekegel.com was created by a pelvic health physical therapist in Seattle, WA who wanted to create a trustworthy and user-friendly information source to share with her clients. However, once she started telling her friends, she discovered that everyone could benefit from such a site. She had heard many complaints of the internet being full of advice but that there was a lack of trustworthy and scientific advice out there from trained professionals. She believes that sharing knowledge with the world, and particularly the female-identifying world, is a tangible way to make it a better place. Her dream is to someday have the information on this site be commonplace. How wonderful if women everywhere were encouraged to explore and learn about their bodies throughout their entire lifespan without shame or taboo!?!
