North Pole Physical Therapy features Adult and Pediatric Pelvic Floor services. Here, you and your child have the ability to be evaluated for specific Pelvic Floor dysfunctions.
For adults, this includes urinary incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain or pain with intercourse, and prostate dysfunction. We also have the ability to work with you status post bladder slings, bladder stim, radiation, and prostatectomy, if appropriate with your physician. Also remember, The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology recommends a pelvic floor assessment 6 weeks after giving birth.
For children, this includes constipation, fecal or urinary incontinence, bedwetting, difficulty potty training, toilet refusal, prolapse, and pelvic pain. We also have the ability to perform sEMG biofeedback, rehabilitative ultrasound, and other noninvasive procedures to evaluate the function of the rectal and anal muscles. No internal exams are performed on children and we work to create a respectful and comfortable environment for you and your child.
