APTA MA Pelvic Health Symposium Brings Education, Innovation, and Community Together
Current Medical Technologies, Inc. was proud to host the APTA Massachusetts Pelvic Health Symposium, welcoming pelvic health professionals from across the region for an inspiring day of education, collaboration, and hands-on learning.
The symposium featured a full schedule of engaging lectures focused on advancing pelvic health practice and strengthening professional connections within the pelvic health community.
Attendees enjoyed outstanding educational presentations from Yasaman Zarbafian, PT, DPT, OCS and Kim Glow, PT, DPT, who shared valuable clinical knowledge and practical insights. Lauren Peterson, PT, MS, CYT led an informative discussion on the clinical applications of TENS therapy, highlighting how this versatile modality can be incorporated into pelvic health treatment plans.
Movement and wellness were also key components of the day. Dustienne Miller, PT, MS, PWCS, CYT guided participants through an energizing yoga session, while Cindy Foy, PT, DPT led stretching activities designed to promote movement, flexibility, and overall well-being—reinforcing the importance of self-care for both clinicians and their patients.
Throughout the symposium, the Current Medical Technologies team provided live demonstrations of several innovative technologies used in pelvic health rehabilitation, including:
- SoftWave® Tissue Regeneration Technology, showcasing its role in promoting healing and reducing pain through electrohydraulic shockwave therapy.
- sEMG Biofeedback Systems, demonstrating how real-time muscle activity feedback can improve pelvic floor assessment and rehabilitation.
- Viberect® Pro for Erectile Dysfunction, highlighting this non-invasive therapeutic option designed to support erectile function and improve patient outcomes.
These interactive demonstrations gave attendees the opportunity to experience the equipment firsthand, ask questions, and discuss practical clinical applications with the CMT staff.
The symposium reflected the shared commitment of the APTA Massachusetts Pelvic Health community and Current Medical Technologies to advancing evidence-based care through education, innovation, and collaboration.
